The first train on the China-Laos Railway passed over the Yuanjiang Double-Track Bridge in Yuanjiang Hani, Yi, and Dai Autonomous County, Yunnan Province, China. It is understood that during the six-year construction of the China-Laos Railway, starting with the delivery of the first batch of Kunming Iron and Steel's high-performance earthquake-resistant steel to the project site in August 2016, Kunming Iron and Steel has supplied a total of 528,400 tons of steel for the railway. This includes 456,400 tons of high-performance earthquake-resistant rebar and 72,000 tons of earthquake-resistant I-beams. In the overseas sections of the China-Laos Railway, the use rate of Kunming Iron and Steel alloy steel is close to 70%.
